1 Dead and Several Injured in Downtown Seattle Shooting

At least seven people have been hospitalized after a shooting occurred close to Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle on Wednesday night, The News Tribune reports. One person has died.
The victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center. KIRO reports that the victims include “a 55-year-old woman in critical condition; a 9-year-old boy in serious condition; a 35-year-old man in stable condition; a 21-year-old man in stable condition; and a 34-year-old man in stable condition.”
The shooting happened at around 5 p.m. by Third Avenue and Pine Street. Police are still on the search for the suspected shooters.
“Everyone in the coffee shop went down on the ground, hiding behind tables,” Alex Bennett, a resident in the area that the shooting occurred, said, per The Seattle Times. “The security guard locked the door.” Bennett, who was at a coffee shop at the time of the shooting, explained that she and a security guard came to the aid of man who was shot. “He was freaking out and kept saying, ‘I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die,'” Bennett said.
At a press conference on the incident, police revealed that they determined that the shooting occurred after a dispute broke out in front of a McDonald’s and that there were multiple shooters.
