The shooting happened at around 5 p.m. by Third Avenue and Pine Street. Police are still on the search for the suspected shooters.

“Everyone in the coffee shop went down on the ground, hiding behind tables,” Alex Bennett, a resident in the area that the shooting occurred, said, per The Seattle Times. “The security guard locked the door.” Bennett, who was at a coffee shop at the time of the shooting, explained that she and a security guard came to the aid of man who was shot. “He was freaking out and kept saying, ‘I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die,'” Bennett said.

At a press conference on the incident, police revealed that they determined that the shooting occurred after a dispute broke out in front of a McDonald’s and that there were multiple shooters.
