Saying that Nike SB is having a moment right now is an understatement. Nike’s skateboarding subdivision has experienced a resurgence in the mainstream spotlight over the past few years in large part due to superstars like Travis Scott and Offset breaking out some of the rarest and most celebrated Dunks. Plenty of those pairs were already matched with hefty price tags, but being brought back into mainstream consciousness by two of rap’s biggest stars has made the prices hike even higher. However, if you are someone who cannot immediately drop $800 plus on some sneakers, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost. There are plenty of under-the-radar options available on the resell market for reasonable prices to satisfy your SB craving.

We understand that trying to cop some of the releases from SB’s heyday isn’t the most fiscally responsible thing to do, especially right now. But just because a pair came out after the Black Box era or isn’t marked as a classic doesn’t mean it isn’t a worthy purchase.

Check out our picks for 10 of the best deals on Nike SBs that won’t break the bank below.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Safari’

Original Price: $100
Lowest Listed Price: $260

Nike SB has taken to using Nike’s loaded archive for inspiration these days. The results have provided pairs like a Dunk Low nodding to the “Infrared” Air Max 90 and Dunk Mid inspired by the “Freshwater” Air Griffey Max 1. But one of the cleanest executions was this March 2020 release taking cues from Atmos’ “Safari” Air Max 1 from 2003. Safari print overlays and a gum bottom are some standout details, but the best part is that it provides the same look as a virtually unwearable OG pair of the source material for half the price.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Dusty Peach’

Original Price: $90
Lowest Listed Price: $290

Unlike a lot of popular SB Dunks, this pair is not a nod to a popular alcoholic beverage, a sitcom from the ’80s, or any other area the brand has pulled to create memorable colorways over the years. This is just a very well executed release from March 2019. The corduroy upper gives it a more premium feel than your average GR colorway, and the blue Swoosh is a great contrast against the earthu upper.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Shadow J-Pack’

Original Price: $90
Lowest Listed Price: $151

The J-Pack colorblocking has been used steadily on SB Dunk Lows since it first debuted in 2005 with a “Royal” Air Jordan I-inspired design. While that pair will still set you back $300 or more in deadstock condition these days, this “Shadow”-inspired look from February 2020 seems to have flown on the radar. It is currently only fetching a little bit above retail, and the black and grey look can match with virtually anything in your closet, making it a worthy addition to the weekly rotation.

Nike SB Dunk High ‘Reese Forbes Denim’

Orignial Price: $110
Lowest Listed Price: $200

Another prime example of Nike SB flipping an original release and it making sense is the “Reese Forbes Denim” High from 2017. There’s literally a pair of the OG Lows from 2002 listed on StockX right now for $16,500. Do not do that. Buy these instead.

Nike SB Dunk High ‘Gino Ianucci’

Original Price: $110
Lowest Listed Price: $153

Nike SB has a habit of converting some of its most memorable Dunk Low releases from its mid 2000s heyday to Highs in later years. The “Tiffany” switchup is probably the most popular, but this 2017 release that switched the OG “Gino Ianucci” Dunk Low from 2002 to a high-top needs some more recognition for its execution. While not as flashy as other notable pairs, the mix of perforated leather and suede makes for a super clean everyday option with some added premium flare. OG Dunk Lows will hit hard on the wallet. For the same idea, grabbing this pair for right around $150 is a much better money move.

Nike SB Dunk High ‘Danny Supa’

Original Price: $110
Lowest Listed Price: $225

Danny Supa’s orange, blue, and white Dunk Low is credited with being the first SB Dunk ever. So, it was cool to see the brand pay homage to it with this High flip in 2017. We know, it isn’t as good as the original, but we also think spending around $250 is much more feasible than paying any number with four digits in it.

Nike SB Dunk High ‘Raging Bull’

Original Price: $110
Lowest Listed Price: $173

Using popular Air Jordan colorways to outfit SB Dunks isn’t groundbreaking by any means. It isn’t always good either. But this one works. Reminiscent of 2009’s “Raging Bull” Air Jordan V, this pair is entirely 3M. The black and silver looks is easy to wear. This pair also commands attention in photos with the flash on, if you’re someone who cares about that type of thing.

Nike SB Dunk High ‘RESN’

Original Price: $108
Lowest Listed Price: $275

Modeled after Sam Smyth’s ultra limited and scrapped design slated to be part of  2005’s iconic “Team Manager” series, the “RESN” Dunk High finally got a retail release sporting minor tweaks in 2009. The Gucci-esque green and red colorway is just a winner. The black denim overlays are the perfect touch. This is just a good pair of sneakers that for some reason only hovers in the $250-$300 range. Take advantage of this steal while people are still sleeping.

Diamond Supply Co. x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Black Diamond’

Original Price: $100
Lowest Listed Price: $252

We all know how important Diamond Supply Co.’s “Tiffany” Dunk Low is. Many consider it the best SB release of all time. So, Diamond Supply was the perfect brand to release a brand new collab when SB hype started to bubble again back in 2018. This black version isn’t as hyped as the “Canary Yellow” version, and neither is as good as the original, but this black option is a great alternative if you aren’t prepared to fork over thousands for the first pair.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Black Tie-Dye Raygun’

Original Price: $100
Lowest Listed Price: $242

“Raygun” Dunks from 2005 are incredible. They are also gonna cost you thousands of dollars right now. This option from 2019 inspired by the original is a worthy consolation. The tie-dye makes them stand out and doubles as an awesome tribute to the late godfather of Nike SB, Sandy Bodecker.
