2023 Grammys: Here’s the Full List of This Year’s Winners
Written by SOURCE on February 5, 2023
It’s time for a new class of Grammy winners to be unveiled.
As fans are well aware, Beyoncé stood as this year’s most-nominated artist with Renaissance-spurred appearances in nine categories, while Kendrick Lamar—whose Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers was one of 2022’s most widely acclaimed releases—amassed eight nods.
“Celebrating the miracle of music is at the core of everything we do at the Recording Academy and today we are proud and honored to celebrate music’s power to lift people up and to bring them together,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said when detailing this year’s nominees back in November. “I’m energized by this year’s slate of nominees and how each of them uses their craft to inspire us, and to remind us that music is our universal language. Each of these deserving nominees has helped to provide the world with an incredible soundtrack and is a true testament to how vibrant our entire music community truly is.”
The final round of voting, which determines winners, started in December and wrapped on Jan. 4. Hosting the ceremony is Trevor Noah, the former Daily Show star who’s marking his third time in the role. As announced in the days leading up to the ceremony, this year’s broadcast boasts a special segment celebrating 50 years of hip-hop. Big Boi, De La Soul, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Public Enemy, and many more are taking part in the celebratory segment. Oscar winner Questlove, meanwhile, is serving as the segment’s musical director.
