As we all know, each year ADE takes over Amsterdam for a city-wide festival that brings together the biggest names from across the globe as well as a whole range of other events, including workshops, conferences, seminars and other events besides. Pretty much every subgenre and every scene in electronic music is represented at the festival, making the line-up almost endless. We’ve taken the time to trawl through the list and pick out the five essentials. We’ve tried to give as broad a list of names as possible—house, UKG, techno, electro and some more experimental sounds—but with literally thousands of names on the bill, there’s so much more to see.
