50 Cent Clarifies Comments About His Last Album Being His Last

After claiming that his next album will probably be his last, 50 Cent reassured fans he has no intentions of completely abandoning music.
The G-Unit boss created a stir last month when he announced, what many believed to be, his retirement from the rap game: “… My next album might be my last,” he captioned a video featuring the 2003 “Smile” track. “I terrorized hip hop for 14 years, don’t believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie …”
Fif clarified his comments during a recent appearance on The Talk, when he was asked if he truly intended to step away from music after his next record release. Fif reiterated his plan to drop one more studio album, but said he wants to keep creating music for his small- and big-screen projects.
“I probably think I’ll deliver one more full-length album, then the other things I do will be connected to film and television,” he said, as pointed out by HipHop-N-More. “I’m having so much success in this area that I have opportunities to keep releasing music through the projects that I’m bringing.”
50, who’s on a promotional tour for his Power spinoff series Power Book IV: Force, has not released a studio album since 2014’s Animal Ambition. However, the hip-hop mogul has continued to tease his long-delayed effort Street King Immortal, which was originally expected to drop in 2011. Fif provided a brief update on the project during an interview with the Independent last summer, when he revealed he had scrapped the original version of Street King Immortal.
“That original version is not [being released], but I’m releasing new music in September,” he said, before confirming the album would not feature Eminem. “I didn’t finish the tracks with him … I’m not gonna tell who’s on it because I’m the most exciting person [on the album].”
