Premiere: L.A-Based Good Intent Comes Through With R&B-Influenced “Watchu Need”

At just 18 years old, emerging L.A-based Good Intent has got his sights set on the global stage. Born Marty Valentine, Good Intent cites his primary influences as pop and R&B, packaging them together as something he calls “loverboy music”.
Having lent his production talents to the likes of Lil Yachty, Goldlink, Allan Kingdom and Ski Mask The Slump God, Valentine is back with what looks set to be the first of many singles this year with “Watchu Need”. Built around his sweetly-sung vocals, a catchy guitar riff and some sparsely arranged samples, he keeps the song relatively simple while the video adds a cut-up, teenage diary vibe to emphasise the playfulness of the producer, singer and songwriter.
