Brazilian production team Tropkillaz have offered up the video for their latest banger, “Bola Rebola.”
The visual is set on a warm day in a beach town, where everyone has a drink in hand and is having a good time. Tropkillaz tapped J Balvin, Anitta, and MC Zaac to add more twists of Portuguese, Spanish, and English to the baile funk song.
“[The song is] really representative of Brazilian/baile funk music and shows our culture can crossover with different genres,” Tropkillaz told Complex. “To wrap up this big cultural exchange, Anitta called J Balvin to collaborate on the track. Not only is he one of the most influential figures in Latin music, but he also absolutely killed his verse—referencing Brazilian culture ranging from the Carnaval to Novelas.”
They added, “The song couldn’t come at a better timing either, as next week Carnival starts in Brazil—and we, of course, are aiming to make sure this becomes the carnival anthem. After all, that’s what this song is made for: baile funk, dancing, and shaking your asses.”
