Hit-Boy Gives ‘King’s Disease II’ Speech Believed to be About Kanye West

Written by on August 7, 2021

Hit-Boy is happy about the release of King’s Disease II, and he promises that there was “no hooplah” involved in its rollout.

In a new album-release speech from the beatsmith that fans think is directed toward Kanye West, the producer explains that the follow-up to his Grammy-winning effort with Nasty Nas was just the two in the studio making music—nothing else.

“It’s not a hundred n—as producing the beat,” he said, per HotNewHipHop. “It’s not a hundred n—as writing the rhymes, n—a. It’s two n—as in the studio. I hear this shit right now, homie. It’s going down. King’s Disease II. Stream that shit, buy that shit.”

The former Ye collaborator and “N—as in Paris” producer continued, sharing that the whole album was just “me and Nas in the studio” and that he didn’t want too many theatrics involved.

“There be n—as in the studio. It’s just me and bro, bro. Do y’all hear this shit? It’s just me and this n—a in the studio. He’s barred up, I’m making beats. No hooplah. We not on fuckin’ Twitter botherin’ y’all. We not on IG Live putting a weird-ass stream up, n—a. We doin’ this shit for real though, n—a! Stop playin’!”

While fans believe the producer’s latest comments were about Kanye—who launched his own live stream of him sleeping and doing some housekeeping before his second Donda listening event this weekend (which has still yet to result in an album release)—Hit-Boy and Ye aren’t on the best of terms, as he previously told GQ that Kanye “stopped picking my beats because I worked with Beyoncé.”
