2 Chainz’s ‘Rap or Go to the League’ Album Is Here

In early 2018, 2 Chainz hit up social media to announce the release of Rap or Go to the League—his first studio album since 2017’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. The 41-year-old rapper shared the news in a short video in which he broke down the significance of the title as well as the socio-political themes the project would address.
“With the height of racial tensions across America I felt I should do my part in explaining some of the brain washing formulas used in my community,” he captioned the video. “[…] Welcome to Rap or Go TO THE LEAGUE! My 5th solo studio album and project that shows continued growth, success, and motivation which is playing a role in the shift of the trap paradigm.”
More than one year after its announcement, ROGTTL has finally arrived.
The much anticipated album spans 14 tracks and includes the previously released track “Girls Best Friend” with Ty Dolla Sign, as well as guest appearances by Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Young Thug, and more.
ROGTTL was a collaborative effort with LeBron James, who helped Tityboi select which songs made the final cut. 2 Chainz said ROGTTL is the first album to be A&R’d by a professional athlete.
