Here Are All the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards Winners
Written by SOURCE on September 20, 2021
After going mostly virtual for 2020’s edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emmy Awards are back in-person for the 73rd annual ceremony.
The pandemic certainly isn’t over just yet, but with the vaccine readily available the ceremony this year was held in Los Angeles with an audience. Attendees this time around have been asked to show proof of vaccination in order to attend. Another impact of the pandemic is that there’s a smaller number of submissions this time around, but that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been plenty of high-profile nominations.
As expected with the Emmys, the nominations are dominated by the presence of HBO and Netflix. Some of the biggest hits of the past year or so have gotten a nomination, including lockdown favorite The Queen’s Gambit, and the recently canceled Lovecraft Country. As for individual shows with multiple nominations, Disney’s The Mandalorian and WandaVision lead with 24 and 23 each, respectively. For comedy, this will surely be Ted Lasso’s night.
