Philly police are searching for a woman shown in security footage pulling a gun on a Chipotle worker after they told her the restaurant was closing early.
According to Philadelphia 10, the incident occurred on Saturday at the Chipotle inside the Roosevelt Mall. When the restaurant’s manager came out to alert guests that they should place their orders online because they would be closing early due to a staffing issue, the woman seen in the video above became increasingly irritated. She then pulled out a gun from her bag and reportedly demanded to speak to the manager.
Per police, the woman said if she wasn’t given food she’d come behind the counter “and there will be a problem.” The Chipotle worker on hand immediately pressed the security button under the counter to alert mall cops of the incident. Another employee then came to the front and began making the woman food so she would leave. The woman put her gun away while her food was being quickly prepared. Authorities report that the woman said “somebody better give me my food” before pulling out her gun a second time, then finally walking away with her meal.
Philadelphia police are advising any individuals who see the woman not to approach her, but to alert authorities instead immediately. An unidentified man in the video accompanied the woman, but based on the footage, it doesn’t appear he was involved in the incident.
