Late last night, the sad news emerged that famed music video director Luke Biggins had passed away. At the time of writing, no cause of death had been confirmed.
Biggins’ legacy in the UK music industry is vast and his career spanned multiple decades and countless eras and genres. Everyone from Blak Twang and Moorish Delta 7 to Skepta and Jaykae had called on his expert hands and peerless creative vision. A multi-talented creative, Biggins was managing director of Yellow Fish and co-founded Jacuzzi Films and Studio.
As an executive producer, director and director of photography, Luke Biggins had been in higher demand than ever lately. In the past couple of years he worked with new gen stars like Rebecca Garton, Kamille, S1mba, Hardy Caprio, Ivorian Doll, Darkoo and countless others.
In the hours since the news of his passing first emerged, there has been an outpouring from his peers, including a whole raft of photographers, directors and visual artists praising Biggins for helping them into the industry.
