Markieff Morris responded to Twitter account @LegionHoops pointing out that the Miami Heat player has missed multiple games since getting hit by Nikola Jokic back on November 8.
“This is wild: Markieff Morris has missed 30 straight games for the Heat since he got whiplash from his scuffle with Nikola Jokic on November 8th,” @LegionHoops’s tweet, which landed on Thursday, read. “Sheesh.”
Morris caught wind of the post and replied by going after Jokic by calling him overweight. “Ain’t shit wild about it! It’s a real injury! Imagine having a 300 pound sloppy fat boy run full speed and make direct contact with your spine,” Morris wrote. “I’ll be back soon like I said.”
Morris followed the tweet up with another. “I said what I said! Heat nation I’ll see y’all soon!!” he wrote.
The altercation between Morris and Jokic started after the 32-year-old fouled the Denver Nuggets player. Moments later, Jokic retaliated by shoving Morris from the back.
Following the Nov. altercation, Markieff’s brother Marcus Morris, who plays for the Clippers, took to Twitter, writing, “Waited till bro turned his back smh. NOTED ✍🏾 .” That started a back and forth with the Jokic brothers, who created a Twitter account and responded. “Your brother made a dirty play first… If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you!!” they wrote.
