The Weeknd Releases Video for “Sacrifice” Remix, Shares Expanded ‘Dawn FM’

The universe of Dawn FM was expanded overnight, complete with new visuals and “alternate world” versions of two tracks from The Weeknd’s recently released album.
First up, we have the new video for the “Sacrifice” remix featuring Swedish House Mafia, as seen above. As for this “alternate world” take on the track, the original version of which previously received its own video, fans should notice (among other changes) a revised drum foundation that—as already spotted by NME—does indeed move the percussive elements closer to the sound of the previously sampled Alicia Myers track “I Want to Thank You.”
Catch the new “Sacrifice” remix video up top. The “alternate world” release is part of a slightly expanded version of Dawn FM, which adds a total of three songs to the tracklist. The other two additions are a remix of “Take My Breath” (see above) featuring Agents of Time and the previously released Swedish House Mafia collab “Moth to a Flame.”
This expansion arrives in the immediate wake of the “Gasoline” video, which sees Abel getting into a brutal fight with an older version of himself. Revisit that here.
Meanwhile, the top of this week was made brighter with word straight from Abel regarding “a new trilogy.” More specifically, the Super Bowl LV halftime headliner shared a tweet in which he wondered aloud whether fans knew they were “experiencing a new trilogy.”
