Kanye Releases New Donda Academy Merch to Commemorate ‘Slam’ Cover

With high school basketball season in full swing, the Kanye West-backed Donda Academy has graced the cover of Slam Magazine, and to commemorate the achievement Ye also dropped a series of Donda Academy merch items.
The Donda Academy merchandise resembles much of Ye’s recent clothing that he’s released, especially his line of hoodies that he dropped in his Yeezy Gap line. Donda Academy is a prep school founded by Ye that has attracted some of the highest-ranking recruits in high school basketball to play for him. Among them include Zion Cruz, JJ Taylor, Brandon White, Bryce Baker, Omarion Bodrick, Seven Bahati, and several others. The team’s jerseys were designed by Balenciaga and Ye, and they all wear Adidas Yeezy Basketball QNTM sneakers for games and practices.
Aside from powering this loaded high school basketball program, Ye has also been back in the studio. Recently, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Antonio Brown revealed that he’s been in the studio with the rapper.
“It was just by the grace of God,” Brown told Complex when asked to explain how he and Ye initially linked up. “I was at Craig’s [restaurant], having dinner in LA with Rich, my guy at Fashion Nova. And I ran into Kanye randomly at Craig’s. We got haircuts at Craig’s. It was totally out of the blue, and we just started hanging out in LA. We’ve got a lot of positive things coming. It’s just been an amazing week for me. I’m sitting here with Mr. Tim at Amazon Music right now, having a meeting, so I’ve been grateful for the last 21 days.”
Kanye West’s new Donda Academy merchandise is available to purchase right now. Head here to cop and check out some of the different items included down below.
