Sage Nation Launches Timeless and Function-Driven FW22 Collection

2021 was an impressive year for Sage Nation. After unveiling its collaborative debut with The Garbstore and tapping Helly Hansen’s HH-118389225 line for a series of deconstructed silhouettes, the UK-based label continues to grow with an incredible new collection for Fall/Winter 2022.
Founded by Sage Toda-Nation, a Kingston University graduate in 2019, the independent clothing line aims to channel the designer’s British and Japanese heritage by offering forward-thinking silhouettes, considerate construction, and a practical appeal.
Titled Formally Casuals, this season sees the label continuing to explore garment design with a consideration for the brand’s dual-heritage character, which seeks to bridge the cultural gap between East and West.
Describing the influence as “Japanese minimalism meets the attitude of full-frontal British terrace culture,” key garments arrive sleek in appearance yet bursting with design cues that hark back towards the terrace scene.
Standouts include the brand’s new gilet, which houses a Thermore lightweight down, and the Box Pleat Trouser, a loose-cut pant constructed with a deep-set box pleat down each leg.
Wool overcoats and elbow-less sweaters are a select number of pieces that pay homage to Sage Nation’s beginnings, while shirting, outerwear, and knitwear pieces have been ergonomically engineered and fit effortlessly into an everyday wardrobe. Fabrics and textures are handled skillfully with Seersucker, heavyweight British wool, Swiss Ventile®, and 100% recycled nylon acting as the foundation of many of the pieces.
The new range will launch on Sage Nation’s website with updates set to roll out on the brand’s Instagram page.
