Dr. Oz Gets Dragged for Challenging Fauci to a ‘Doctor-to-Doctor’ Debate

Dr. Oz is proposing a battle of the doctors—except the doctor he wants to debate is the president’s Chief Medical Advisor.
The TV host and U.S. Senate candidate took to Twitter over the weekend to reignite his proposed debate with Dr. Anthony Fauci, which he initially tried to get setup back in January. But as Oz soon found out, there’s no amount of medicine that can cure a ratio.
“I challenged Dr. Fauci to a debate 44 days ago, and still haven’t heard a thing from him…🦗,” Oz wrote in his tweet, which has earned more quote-tweets than likes.
In his initial January tweet, Dr. Oz claimed that Fauci “got COVID wrong” and that the two should have a “doctor-to-doctor” debate to give “the American people the truth about COVID-19.” After Fauci didn’t respond, the real debate ended up being between thousands of Twitter users and the daytime talk show host.
As one Twitter user put it, “why would one of the world’s foremost epidemiologists debate a man who was once a cardiologist, who now sells fake supplements to the unsuspecting public”
