Digga D Teams Up With Moneybagg Yo For “G-Lock”, Announces New Project

Last night, Digga D took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that barely a year on from Made In The Pyrex, he was already geared up to drop a new project, Noughty By Nature, which he’s slated for an April 15 release. Not only that, but he also dropped off its first single, “G Lock”, featuring Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo.
Both outspoken artists shaking up their respective scenes, it’s an unexpected link-up, but it makes total sense. Digga’s short and snappy rhyme schemes balance perfectly against Moneybagg’s more fluid, Auto-Tuned-pinched flow, all tied together by Nyge and AoD’s dark and moody production. Equally dark are the visuals from DrewFilmedIt, setting the scene in a dimly-lit trap house before taking us on the road in some expensive cars with some equally flashy watches and jewellery.
It’s been a hectic few years for Digga D, who’s had to contend with an overbearing Criminal Behaviour Order and by the sounds of it, a few more dramas behind the scenes. Fortunately, he seems to have overcome all of that and he had a prosperous year of critically and commercially successful releases.
Alongside an Instagram post of the artwork, Digga writes: “This is the first time in my life I feel free. Free from all the hassle from police, pussy haters, probation and crazy entanglements. Really been living a movie and this mixtape is just a scene from it.”
While we wait to see what else the tape has in store for us, take a look at the new visuals above and then add “G Lock” to your playlists.
