Mac Miller’s Estate Shares Rare Footage of Rapper, Drops ‘Macadelic’ Vinyl

Today is the tenth anniversary of Mac Miller’s Macadelic mixtape, and to celebrate the occasion his estate has released the record on vinyl and shared some previously unseen footage of the rapper.
The freshly released vinyl of the mixtape, which saw him experiment further after the release of his debut album Blue Side Park, is available to purchase now. Featuring a remastered edition of the project, the double LP release is accompanied by a poster and an embossed cover design. Portions of the proceeds will go to the Mac Miller Fund, an initiative to support young musicians with access to otherwise expensive resources.
To coincide with the release of the vinyl and the landmark anniversary, his estate also shared some previously unreleased footage of Mac from around the release of Macadelic. Featuring the then baby-faced rapper, who was just 20 at the time of its release, the footage showcases just how much passion and love Mac had for making and performing music.
At the start of this year, fans of the late musician shared tributes on what would have been his 30th birthday. Among those to share the love was frequent collaborator Thundercat, labelmate Wiz Khalifa, and collaborator J.I.D. “I hope that on your birthday, the clarity, and places and spaces that you’ve always wanted to go to, see and feel—I hope that you feel that infinitely,” said Thundercat, who was originally set to join him on the 2018 Swimming Tour.
