Meek Mill Shares Trailer for New Amazon Docuseries

Meek Mill has shared a glimpse at an accompanying Amazon-backed documentary on his criminal justice fight.
Free Meek, out this summer, will give fans an inside look at both Meek’s specific battle against the system and its widespread shortcomings that have negatively affected so many others. “[Free Meek] explores my life and the flaws in the criminal justice system that have haunted me and others like me,” Meek said of the doc, which counts JAY-Z as one of its executive producers.
“I never really looked at it like a nightmare,” Meek says in the trailer for the Roc Nation and Intellectual Property Corporation co-production. “I looked at it as real life for a black kid in America. Meek was honored in his hometown earlier this month with the launch of Meek Mill Day, a special 24-hour remembrance period that leads into Meek Mill Weekend. He’s also been given similar honors by way of Houston, Texas.
Back in November, Meek Mill released his fourth studio album CHAMPIONSHIPS, featuring some excellent Phil Collins bits on the intro. The album also includes collabs with Cardi B, JAY, Young Thug, Drake, Ella Mai, and more.
