Boosie Badazz on Why He Didn’t Call YoungBoy Never Broke After Dissing Him

Back in February, Boosie Badazz caught a stray shot from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, who called out the Baton Rouge veteran on his track “I Hate YoungBoy.”
“Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, bitch, don’t call my phone, fuck you,” YoungBoy rapped.
A few weeks later, Boosie responded to YB’s slight with a song of his own, “I Don’t Call Phones I Call Shots.”
“First and last time speaking on this,” Boosie rapped. “If you felt that way, why you ain’t call me on my phone number?/Bitch you know you wrong, clearin’ all these n***as songs/Don’t go clear a n***a’s song, but fake it like you a n***a dog/That’s that fake shit/Don’t speak on me no more lil’ n***a, you know I don’t go for that/Let’s keep it real dog, you was a ho for that.”
Earlier this week, Boosie sat down for an interview with VladTV, where he was asked why he didn’t reach out to YoungBoy instead of dissing him on wax.
“Because I don’t wanna kill him,” Boosie explained. “So, I just wanted to say what I had to say. I ain’t really promote the song. I just wanted to say what I had to say. But, it—I just felt like, I’ll say what I had to say over the mic and that’s it, you know? Like I said, my first and last time speaking on it. I was gon’ say what I had to say, and that’s it.”
After Vlad pressed him on whether there was anything else that led up to the two rappers trading shots, Boosie maintained that he merely responded to YB’s initial diss.
“I was just sayin’ some pussy shit like he do. That’s all I felt,” Boosie said. “I ain’t even take that sh*t to heart, really.”
