Nearly a month since she landed in the ICU after suffering stroke, Little Women: Atlanta star Shirlene “Ms. Juicy Baby” Pearson returned home this week to begin her road to recovery.
The 50-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram on Friday to announce that she was officially discharged from the hospital.
“I am not at 100%, but I am still healing,” Pearson told her followers, adding, “I want to say thank you for all of the love and support … and I appreciate y’all being concerned.”
She went on to reveal that she’s still adapting to losing her basic motor functions and cognitive abilities. “I had to learn how to walk, learn how to talk, learn how to eat, learn how to swallow,” Pearson said, before sharing that she’s currently still seeing a speech therapist.
Earlier this month, reps for Ms. Juicy Baby announced that the Little Women: Atlanta cast member had been transferred out of the ICU after suffering a serious stroke in April.
“We are thankful to announce Ms Juicy has been moved out the ICU, however there is a new journey ahead of her for healing,” the statement read. “We can confirm that Ms Juicy did suffer a stroke.”
“Ms Juicy is a very private person and wants everyone to know she is fighting and ready to go home,” the statement added. “She wants to thank her fans for showing so much love and keeping her in their prayers.”
