Miznon, the Mediterranean-inspired street food concept created by celebrity chef Eyal Shani, has just opened it’s doors to a new restaurant in Soho, London.
Renowned for its fresh, vibrant Israeli bites and a punchy drinks list to match, the fast-casual, smash hit restaurant marks the international pita brand’s first venture into UK dining, having previously expanded to Paris, Vienna, New York, Melbourne, Singapore and Boston.
With established restaurants across the globe, the new Soho outpost brings some of Shani’s best loved dishes to the doors of the capital, including the Famous Original Whole Cauliflower, the Lamb Kebab, filled with sensual seasoned lamb together with grilled tomato and onions closed with tahini, spicy and pickles, and Minute Steak Plate, of minute steak flashed and served with tahini, salsa, spicy tomato and finished with fresh parsley.
Located on Broadwick Street and designed by long-time partner Jakov Turjeman, the Soho restaurant utilises Miznon’s classic design aesthetic through the use of ornate tiles and a signature olive green décor.
Speaking on the new London launch, Shani comments: “A whole world of fairy tales lay in London coming from a crown that has never been dropped. I feel like Alice in Wonderland entering London, and I look forward to seeing how the magic we bring can put colour in the city’s story. I feel passionate about bringing the beautiful spirit of London into my pita and already feel inspired by the colour and creativity of this magical land.”
Having first opened in Tel Aviv in 2011, Miznon quickly gained serious traction on Instagram and has gone on to win awards such as “best burger in New York City” by Time Out, “Best Lunch in Paris” by Traveller Magazine, and “Best Dish” by Food & Wine Magazine.
Miznon is open seven days a week from midday – 11 p.m. GMT and is located at 8-12 Broadwick Street, London, W1F 8HW.
