Anitta & Maluma Connect for New Song and Video “El Que Espera”

The wait is over. Anitta has delivered the video for “El Que Espera” with Maluma.
The “Envolver” artist shared late last month that the deluxe edition of Versions of Me is “coming soon,” revealing she has already completed visuals for three new songs: “Gata,” “El Que Espera,” and the Missy Elliott-assisted “Lobby.” Anitta left it up to her fans to decide which one they wanted to see first, and “Gata” took the honor.
One week later, “El Que Espera” is here. The immediate takeaway from the visual is that the two have some undeniable chemistry—and there may be something behind that. In April, Anitta casually confessed during a segment on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she and Maluma hooked up after she slid into his DMs:
Their tryst is evidently a thing of the past, as Anitta was recently rumored to be dating producer Murda Beatz. The report came after she shared a photo of them on her IG Stories, accompanied by the caption, “Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day in Brazil today,” and another shot of them holding hands.
Anitta will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28. “Envolver” is nominated for Best Latin video.
