Ab-Soul Shares New Song “Moonshooter” Produced by PoptartPete

A few months after dropping his first song of 2022 with “Hollandaise,” Ab-Soul returns with his latest single “Moonshooter.”
Co-written by fellow TDE artist Zacari, “Moonshooter” sees Ab-Soul deliver countless head-spinning bars.
“Hopped off the porch like, ‘One of these days I’ma hop out the Porsche’/Caught up in a daze, had a pack of Newports/Couple dollars to my name, some knowledge in my brain, and my best foot forth/I never been afraid I’m protected by a force/I can’t really explain and I’m guided by the source,” he raps in the second verse.
“Moonshooter” follows “Hollandaise” as the second offering from Ab-Soul this year. Most recently, the TDE rapper delivered a scene-stealing guest verse on Joey Badass’ “Survivors Guilt,” a track from the latter’s new album 2000.
It’s unclear if either of Ab-Soul’s latest singles will appear on his upcoming full-length offering. The as-yet unannounced new album, which Top Dawg revealed on Thursday is “done,” will serve as the official follow-up to Ab-Soul’s fourth studio album, 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt.
