Off-White Reconnects With Church’s on Brogue and Derby Capsule
Written by SOURCE on October 26, 2022
Off-White and Church’s have reunited on another limited edition capsule.
The third and final drop is centered on two classics from the British footwear specialist: the Burwood brogue and the Shannon derby. The former model first received the Off-White treatment back in March, followed by a second iteration over the summer. This time around, the brands updated the Burwood brogue with a custom thick rubber sole as well as purple and pink laces—giving the timeless design a much more playful look that is right in line with the Off-White ethos.
The Shannon derby was introduced in the 1970s and became well known for its “whole cut” design, which means each shoe was crafted from a single piece of leather. Off-White took the classic, clean style and gave it a much more youthful edge—adding a stitching and scissors graphic throughout the upper, along with logo laces and a green leather tag that was seen in previous drops.
You can check out the capsule in the lookbook images, featuring Producer/jazz vocalist George Riley and Producer/multi-instrumentalist cktrl, above and below. The Burwood Foam and Shannon Cut Lines are priced at $1,720 and $1,450, respectively. They were unveiled during London’s Frieze Art Fair earlier this month, and can be purchased now at Off-White stores, Church’s locations, and on church-footwear.com.
Virgil Abloh designed the shoes in the months prior to his death at age 41 less than a year ago.
