Kodak Black kicks off the weekend with the release of his fifth studio album Kutthroat Bill: Vol. 1.
The South Florida rapper announced the project at the end of September, when he shared its Metro Boomin-produced single “I’m So Awesome.” He went on to unveil the official cover art and 19-song tracklist, which includes previously released cuts “Walk” and “Spin,” as well as features from Prince Swanny, Lil Crix, VVSNCE, and NFL Tuewop.

Kutthroat arrives less than eight months after Black delivered his fourth studio album Back for Everything. The effort debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 60,000 units earned in its first week. It has since been certified gold and earned Kodak a Song of the Year nod at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards. His hit single “Super Gremlin” was nominated in the category, which was ultimately won by Latto’s “Big Energy” record.
Kodak slammed the awards show for the decision, using derogatory language against the 777 MC and claiming she only won because she’s woman. He also urged his fans to boycott BET and executive Connie Orlando.
