Hit-Boy Joins Forces With Avelino for New Single and Video “2 Certified”

Hit-Boy returns with his latest single “2 Certified.”
The track pairs him with British rapper Avelino, who recently announced the forthcoming release of his debut album.
“Too certified, say that, watching the numerals rise/Wrist and neck on jewelry heist,” Hit-Boy raps on the opening verse. “‘Cause I had some game, I knew when to apply it/TNT with it, we finna ignite.”
Avelino enters for the third verse, spitting, “Yeah, I’m too certified/London boy in a German ride/AV, I’m in LA tonight/American dream, I’m sleeping tight/It was economy seats on flights, now it’s just business class.”
“2 Certified” follows Hit-Boy’s October outing “Tony Fontana III”, which featured Curren$y. He also produced Nas’ November album King’s Disease III. In August, the super-producer dropped another one-off single, “Fire Proof,” after executive producing The Game’s Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind album.
The song comes ahead of the upcoming arrival of Avelino’s debut LP God Save The Streets. The album will follow Avelino’s string of scene-stealing mixtapes Young Fire, Old Flame with Wretch 32, 2017’s NO BULLSHIT, and last year’s Ego Kills.
Stream “2 Certified” now on all major platforms.
