Northern Touch Anniversary Pop-Up Event To Take Place In Downtown Toronto

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Canadian hip-hop group Rascalz’s game-changing song “Northern Touch,” a pop-up event named after the single will take place at the Northern Touch Vintage store in Toronto.
The pop-up event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the store located on Richmond Street in downtown Toronto.
MuchMusic alumnus Master T will host the event which will see guest appearances by Red 1 from Rascalz, Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, Checkmate, and Thrust, all of whom were originally featured on “Northern Touch.”
DJ Rxckz will be curating the music throughout the evening, which will focus on Canadian hip-hop and, will highlight the importance of “Northern Touch” and the influence its had on the scene since it dropped.
As well, limited-edition merchandise will be available for sale.
Kardinal Offishall has been keeping busy these days as he recently announced he’d be joining Def Jam as a Global A&R to scout talent internationally.
Last year, Complex Canada ranked “Northern Touch” no. 2 on “The 20 Greatest Canadian Rap Songs of All-Time” list.
