Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors showed love to Angela Bassett when taking the stage together at Sunday’s Oscars to present the award for achievement in cinematography.
As previously reported, Bassett’s nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever marked a first for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ultimately, the night’s award went to Jamie Lee Curtis, who gave a moving speech after taking home the honor for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
As fans know, Curtis’ win on Sunday came more than four decades after she made her feature film debut in John Carpenter’s franchise-launching slasher classic Halloween.
Later into the broadcast, Jordan and Majors both showed their appreciation for Bassett.
“Hey Auntie,” Jordan said, with Majors adding, “We love you.”
Everything Everywhere All at Once, the most nominated film heading into the 2023 Oscars, won multiple awards on Sunday night. For a full list of winners, hit this link.
