Bam Margera found himself in handcuffs against on Wednesday.
TMZ reports the 43-year-old was arrested on a public intoxication misdemeanor charge outside a restaurant in Burbank this afternoon.
The Jackass alum’s estranged wife Nikki Boyd and 5-year-old son were allegedly dining at a Thai food spot where Margera was seen “arguing with a woman, with the dispute getting louder and louder,” the outlet writes, citing police sources. It’s currently unclear if the woman was Boyd.
An Instagram Live video filmed from the parking lot shows comedian Evan Breen recapping what he and others in the restaurant reportedly witnessed moments before. The social media personality said Bam was in a “completely annihilated” state and accused him of “manhandling his kid.” Another bystander in the clip below claims the boy “was so scared.”
A distressed person off camera is heard saying, “He was grabbing the child, but it was mostly just like verbal harassment, like swearing in front of his small child. He didn’t hit them.”
The video concludes with Margera sitting on the ground and speaking with an officer while gesticulating animatedly:
Margera was arrested at a residence less than a month ago in Escondido, California when a woman called police alleging that he kicked her.
He was booked on a charge of corporal injury on a current spouse/dating partner and posted $50,000 bail the following day. The woman called Bam her “husband,” though sources told TMZ she’s girlfriend, not Nikki Boyd, who filed for legal separation last month after nearly a decade of marriage and more than a year after announcing their split.
Boyd’s attorney said in February, “Nikki felt compelled to file for legal separation from her husband, Bam Margera, due to his continuing drug and alcohol abuse, erratic behavior, and due to his failure to provide support for her and their son. Nikki has put everything she has into trying to get Bam to stay sober and to trying to preserve her family.”
The month prior, Margera told fellow Jackass veteran Steve-O he’d been “basically pronounced dead” in December, suffering five seizures while ill with COVID.
