Johnny Depp’s Lawyers Claim to Have Evidence He Never Abused Amber Heard

Written by on April 15, 2019

Johnny Depp and his legal team are going to the furthest extent to prove the actor’s innocence, as they claim to have concrete evidence that counters the allegation of abuse made by his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

On Monday, Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, told The Blast that they not only have video footage, but also statements from responding officers that clear Depp of any wrongdoing.

“Having been caught by 19 sworn eyewitness statements, 87 surveillance videotapes, audio tape and photographs faking her claims, Ms. Heard has decided to concoct new fake claims of abuse,” Waldman said.

Waldman’s statements are in response to Heard releasing a deposition video from the incident in question, in which the actress alleges that Depp attacked her and her sister. Heard explains to officers that she did hit Depp but only to prevent him from harming her sibling. Heard’s friend, Raquel Pennington described Depp ransacking the couple’s Los Angeles penthouse, which Heard corroborated with photographs of a “destroyed” residence.

However, Depp and his team have now submitted their own evidence, which they hope will prove that Heard’s allegations are all part of a “hoax.” Waldman states that police responded to the scene less than 30-minutes after the incident to find a “perfect-faced” Heard and no evidence of an assault. To support these claims, Waldman produced testimony from the responding Los Angeles Police officers who denied seeing the scene painted by Heard’s deposition.

Waldman and Depp insist that Heard’s new video was only released because the actor filed a $50 million dollar defamation lawsuit against his former-spouse for writing a piece on the alleged abuse in The Washington Post
