I can understand ‘Golden’ rebounding this week following its historic win at the Oscars, although there’s absolutely no reason for ‘Ordinary’ to still be doing the same. For as much I still really like the former, both songs have had their time in the Top 10 now.
Congratulations to Olivia Dean on her second Top 10 hit, especially when it’s with one of her most elegant songs to date. Even if ‘Man I Need’ has sadly missed its chance of going to #1, I’m delighted that ‘So Easy’ is here alongside it. She’s having a truly remarkable year and it’s very well-deserved.
With ‘Choosin’ Texas’ getting a fourth week at the summit, Ella Langley now has the longest Hot 100 leader of the year so far. I thought BTS might challenge her for the spot next week, but she’s currently set to remain there with a gain in overall performance. Good for her!
