Cowboys’ DeMarcus Lawrence Trolls Giants for Keeping Eli Manning

A little smack talk goes a long way. Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence knows this, and his continued trolling of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is a delight to behold. Upon receiving a promotional get-well gift from Snickers, Lawrence, recovering from shoulder surgery, posted about it on Twitter and used it as chance to clown Manning.
“Just when I thought the new deal couldn’t get any sweeter,” he posted on Twitter, referencing the huge $105 million five-year contract he signed with the Cowboys at the start of the month. “Anyone know Eli’s address? I wanna send him some of these @SNICKERS. #ThankfulForHisContributions”
Lawrence has 34 career sacks, and he has the Giants to thank for 3.5 of that figure. In fact, he’s compiled 25 sacks over the last two seasons alone, leaving him with plenty of opportunities to rightfully brag. In a comment on ESPN’s NFL Instagram, Lawrence chimed in to make it known he’s happy the Giants will be keeping Manning around as quarterback for the time being.
Despite still recovering from his shoulder surgery over a torn labrum, Lawrence has said that he’ll be ready for the start of the 2019 season. If that’s the case, he’ll happily get to taunt Manning some more in Week 1 of the regular season on Sept. 8.
