Demi Lovato Hires Scooter Braun as New Manager

Demi Lovato‘s team just got a huge addition.
After days of speculation, the 26-year-old singer confirmed that she has hired Scooter Braun as her manager. Lovato shared the big news via Instagram on Saturday, with a quick message for the super-rep: “Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter with you Scooter!!! Thank you for believing in me and for being apart of this new journey. Let’s DO THIS!” Lovato wrote.
Rumors of a Lovato-Braun partnership began circulating last week, when the latter posted a cryptic tweet that simply read, “Demi.”
Some fans were convinced that Braun was teasing a collaboration between Lovato and one of his big-name clients. The 37-year-old manager has worked with everyone from Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande to Kanye West and Carly Rae Jepsen.
As far as music goes, Lovato has kept a pretty low profile over the last year. Her last single was 2018’s “Sober,” in which she addressed her years-long struggle with sobriety. Months after the single dropped, Lovato returned to rehab after suffering a near-fatal overdose.
“I love my fans, and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read,” she tweeted following her release. “[…] If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF. Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME.”
