BET’s ‘Tales’ Trailer Gives Sneak Peek of New Kanye West Track “Brothers”

We’ve got some new Kanye West music. Sort of.
On Thursday, BET released a trailer from the upcoming second season of Irv Gotti‘s Tales series, highlighting an episode based on a song titled “Brothers” by Kanye and Charlie Wilson.
The trailer begins with the “Mr. West” exclamation of DeRay Davis impersonating the late Bernie Mac, which can be heard on “Intro” off The College Dropout, and “Wake Up Mr. West” from Late Registration. This new song transitions into drums similar to the ones on “Heard ‘Em Say.”
“Brothers” comes as we await West’s next project Yandhi, which has been delayed twice, most recently in November.
“I am beyond excited for the return of Tales. Producing this new record with my production partner Seven and working with Kanye for a song exclusively for the Tales series, has been one of the highlights of my music and TV career,” Gotti told People. “I did it for my hip-hop culture. I wanted to give the fans something to listen to and enjoy as well as visually enjoy, and ‘Brothers,’ the song in conjunction with this global TV premiere is precisely that moment. Tales is back!!”
Tales will premiere on July 2.
