New Guilty Plea in Tekashi 6ix9ine Case Leaves Only 2 Defendants

On Thursday, Roland “Ro Murda” Martin became the latest person to plead guilty in the federal racketeering case involving 6ix9ine. Martin pleaded guilty to one count, admitting to taking part in a racketeering conspiracy.
As we reported at the beginning of the month, this move was not a surprise. Martin’s name had been left off the case’s most recent indictment, which was essentially an admission from the government that Martin, 38, was then in the process of finalizing a plea.
Martin’s lawyer Maxwell Bryer declined to comment.
Martin is the tenth man to plead guilty in the sprawling case, which began in 2013 as an investigation into the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Two defendants remain: Anthony “Harv” Ellison, accused of kidnapping and assaulting 6ix9ine in July, 2018; and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, a recent addition to the case who is accused of dealing heroin, fentanyl, and MDMA.
Martin, currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, will be sentenced on Oct. 3. 6ix9ine is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 24, 2020. However, that date may move up if the remaining defendants plead guilty before the case’s trial date of Sept. 4 of this year.
