Kanye West Wants to Trademark ‘Sunday Service’ for New Clothing Line

Written by on July 24, 2019

Kanye West filed an application to trademark “Sunday Service,” meaning those prohibitively expensive socks he sold at Coachella could become available to a much larger audience in the near future.

Page Six reports that West filed to register the phrase on July 19 to use it in the apparel space, including on shoes, tops, dresses, pants, jackets, scarves, loungewear and, of course, socks. The phrase and performance that grew from a regular meeting of artists and famous folks every Sunday morning into a buzzy hillside concert at Coachella will soon be another facet of Ye’s non-rapping and producing empire, if the application is anything to go by.

Page Six also points out that Ye’s people filed an application to use the phrase “Half Beast” in some sort of televised or online entertainment venture that also includes toys. He’s also hard at work on reinvigorating his line of Yeezy sneakers with Adidas per an interview with Forbes. Other reports reveal West was involved in the so-far unsuccessful push to see A$AP Rocky freed from detention in Sweden using his connection with Donald Trump.

All of this comes as Yandhi becomes more and more of a distant memory, leaving us to wonder if we dreamed up the long-promised album until someone like Ronny J comes along to remind us those guarantees were made. Whatever Kanye is doing is clearly working for him, though. He recently leapfrogged Drake on Forbes’ list of the richest rappers in the world on the back of all these business ventures.
