Premiere: Manchester’s Abnormal Sleepz Nods To ‘Peaky Blinders’ In “Textures” Video

Having made his name in the Manchester rap scene with the Meditape projects a few years ago, Abnormal Sleepz has spent the intervening years dropping a consistent string of singles. Now he’s back once more with rapper and producer HMD to drop “Textures”, and there’s a fresh visual to go with it.
The black-and-white video, created by Karl John and Blackstone Visuals, follows Abnormal Sleepz and HMD through the smoke-filled streets of Manchester, decked out in 1920s suits as they lay out their chilled, self-assured bars over the breezy and melodic instrumental.
The new single is taken from his upcoming album, Kaleidoscope, dropping on September 6, making it the first hip-hop album to be signed to D&B producer Lenzman’s Amsterdam-based The North Quarter label.
