Whitney Cummings Gets Ahead of Extortion Attempt Over Topless Image by Posting Photo

Earlier today, a previously deleted photo of a topless Whitney Cummings resurfaced on Twitter, and the person responsible was the comedian herself.
In a series of tweets, Cummings explained that back in April, she accidentally posted a photo on her Instagram Stories which showed her nipple. Even though the comedian deleted the picture as soon as she realized it, a screenshot of the image was taken by some people who have tried to squeeze money out of her in exchange for keeping the photo under wraps. Others contacted her demanding a payment that would prevent them from entertaining alleged offers for the topless pic.
“They all must think I’m way more famous than I am, but they also must think I’m way more easily intimidated than I am,” Cummings wrote. “If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me. So here it all is, you foolish dorks.”
Whitney says that she decided to get ahead of the extortion attempts to avoid the additional stress, money, and time that comes with the threat of someone leaking their personal photos.
Chris D’Elia, her co-star on the former NBC show Whitney, shared an embarrassing photo of himself in light of Cummings’ situation.
Whitney’s latest stand-up special Can I Touch It? is currently available on Netflix.
