50 Cent on If There’s Anything About Rick Ross and His Career He Respects: ‘No’

Written by on September 17, 2019

50 Cent stopped by Real 92.3 LA to chat with Bootleg Kev and DJ Hed.

While there, he was asked about Rick Ross and if there was “anything about Ross and his career that” he respected.

“No, no, there’s nothing there,” 50 replied. “I never wanted to work with him. I understand from a perspective from someone who’s just listening to what it sounds like… Does it matter he’s a correctional officer? Does that ever matter? Look at the irony of the artists that come under him. Prison reform and all of the wrongfully convicted and wrongfully treated people in the prison system. He’s on the whole other side of that. Just look at it.”

50 then turned to Kev and said: “I’m sure you going to buy the new Tekashi 6ix9ine song.”

Bootleg Kev took to IG to post a clip from the interview showing 50 speaking on Ross. “One would think Ross who’s an all time great would have some of 50’s respect at this point,” Kev wrote. “But nope, NONE.”

It’s not the first time 50 has talked about Ross in recent days. “I don’t have a problem with [Ross],” 50 said while on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning earlier this month. “If I was chasing him I would have got him by now. You know that…. When they bring these people up I’m like ‘Why?'”

Elsewhere in 50’s Real 92.3 interview, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper talked about Jim Jones and their previous back and forth.

“Jim is cool, man. Look at how things died down. Nobody was talking about Jim… I put you back on baby. You back on baby. Now, you gotta look at this the right way,” 50 said at around the 21:15 mark. When was the last time you was talking about Jim? Yeah, it was a while ago… This man quiet. Crickets..”

50 was also asked if he’d collab with the Game. “I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t even know what’s he’s doing…”
