A shooter or shooters have killed four people and injured five others after opening fire in a bar in Kansas City.
The shooting at the downtown bar, Tequila KC took place early Sunday morning, Yahoo News reports. Police spokesman Thomas Tomasic told CNN that police arrived on the scene to find four dead people inside the bar. A description of the suspect or suspects, who remain at large, has yet to be released.
“We do not have a good enough description yet, to put anything out for a suspect, or suspects, we don’t even know how many,” he said. The five injured people are reportedly in stable condition. According to Yahoo, the shooter or shooters allegedly walked into the well-known tequila bar and opened fire.
The Kansas City division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives tweeted that they were also helping with the investigation to locate the perpetrators.
In related news, last week, MGM Resorts International came to an agreement with the victims of a mass shooting that took place around one of their hotels two years ago. In October 2017, a gunman opened fire on a Las Vegas country music festival from the 32nd floor of MGM’s Mandalay Bay resort, killing 59 people and wounding 422 more. According to lawyers for victims of the shooting, the hotel has agreed to pay between $735 and $800 million to settle several class action lawsuits.
