Browns Safety Jermaine Whitehead Threatens to Kill Someone on Twitter After Loss

It’s going to be a busy next few days for the Cleveland Browns‘ PR department.
Following the Browns’ 24-19 loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday, safety Jermaine Whitehead took to Twitter to aggressively confront his critics. In a series of tweets which have since been deleted, Whitehead threatened to kill a detractor, suggested that another user “don’t get shot at,” and threw out what could very well be his address to someone that he wanted to fight.
Whitehead’s Twitter account has been suspended.
Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports that Whitehead, who was wearing a brace on his left hand due to his “broke hand,” was still in full uniform when he went on this Twitter tirade.
Despite the Browns’ PR team’s best efforts to curtail his Twitter fingers, Whitehead ended up turning to Instagram to let off some more steam.
For those questioning if it was actually Whitehead’s Twitter account since there wasn’t a blue check, he’s transitioned over to using his verified Instagram page to keep the threats going.
Whitehead was given the start on Sunday since Damarious Randall has been dealing with a hamstring issue. But after Sunday’s tirade, don’t be surprised if it’s the last we see of him in a Browns uniform.
