Blac Youngsta kicks off the weekend with the release of his second studio album, Church on Sunday. But don’t let the title fool you—Youngsta hasn’t ditched secular music in favor of religious tunes.
“No gospel, just street gospel … It’s more real-life. I put my all into this shit. It was not an overnight process and it took me a year and a half to do the album,” he recently told BET, before explaining the message behind Church on Sunday. “Don’t ever let no one stop you, and don’t slow down for no one. And don’t stop when you’re going through real-life problems. Just do not give up. If you give up, you’re not hurting anybody but yourself.”
The album delivers 16 cuts and is stacked with big-name features: Tory Lanez, T.I., DaBaby, G-Eazy, Wiz Khalifa, Jacquees, Ty Dolla Sign, City Girls, and more. You can stream Church on Sunday now on Apple Music and via Spotify below.
Youngsta has also released the Church on Sunday documentary that chronicles the making of the album.
The Memphis rapper will also launch the Church on Sunday U.S. Tour on Jan. 15 in Cleveland. The trek will include stops in Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas, before wrapping up on Feb. 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
