On Monday, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released Oscar shortlists for several categories, including: Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Song), Music (Original Score), International Feature Film, Live Action Short Film, Visual Effects and Animated Short Film.

Oh, here’s who survived the latest huge cut to get on these lists in each category:

The “Documentary Feature” list has 15 (out of a possible 195) still vying for that sweet, sweet Oscar. In alphabetical order those are:

As they said “All members of the Visual Effects Branch will be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the shortlisted films online or attend satellite bake-off screenings in January 2020.” Here’s what those excerpts will be clipped from:
