Young Buck has been arrested in Cheatham County, Tennessee on a Georgia warrant. As NewsChannel 5 Nashville reported, the 38-year-old rapper was taken into custody on a felony fugitive from justice warrant on Dec. 20. He was apprehended by authorities from Ashland City, Tenn., but the warrant was issued in Georgia.
WZTV reports that an extradition warrant from Newton County, Georgia was issued for child abandonment. It was also revealed that Buck is not eligible for bond. His day in court is currently set for May 7, 2020, which means he will likely stay behind bars until then. Buck was reportedly arrested after a police officer pulled over a driver of a Ford F-150 for talking on a cell phone and driving. Buck was a passenger in the car. After pulling the car over, the officer claimed the car smelled of marijuana and after questioning the occupants of the vehicle, Buck said he had a joint on him. Officers allegedly found three grams of marijuana after searching the car. Despite this, Buck was reportedly not hit with a marijuana charge because he was being “very cooperative” and was set to be extradited to Georgia.
Real name David Darnell Brown, Buck has gotten into trouble with the law numerous times over the past couple of years. In 2016, he was arrested after he threatened to burn down his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in a series of threatening text messages. Additionally, he kicked down her door and was indicted on vandalism and domestic assault charges.
The former G-Unit rapper spent the majority of 2019 in a beef with 50 Cent, who has continually taken shots on Instagram. Most recently, Fif posted one of many transphobic memes that saw him claim Buck was in a relationship with a trans woman. He did respond a few times with a pair of diss tracks, the latest of which was titled “Foofy Freestyle.”
Buck claimed he wrote some of 50’s biggest songs, but the G-Unit leader refuted those claims and just continued to troll his former friend.
