Imprisoned Grime MC Crazy Titch Drops “Voldemort” As Campaign For New Trial Begins

A brand new track from grime music legend Crazy Titch has surfaced online.
The East London MC, who began his career alongside the likes of Wiley, Ghetts, Kano and Dizzee Rascal in the early 2000s, was charged with the murder of Richard Holmes in Chingford, in 2006. But now, 14 years later, a campaign has been launched claiming that he was not given a fair trail and that the conviction was down to a “combination of injustices.”
The #Justice4Titch campaigners are “determined that Carl Dobson aka Crazy Titch gets the justice that has, so far, been denied to him in the criminal justice system,” as stated on the Change.org site. They added: “In 2005, Titch was a 22-year-old with an exciting future ahead. As a pioneer of the grime scene, together with his contemporaries Wiley, Dizzee Rascal and Kano, they were influencing hundreds of thousands of young people across the UK. Their passionate lyrics voiced the lived experiences of working-class kids while shining a light on our underrepresented communities. Every deprived housing estate was influenced by grime music, it challenged the powers that be and offered a ‘way out.’ Within months of his career really taking off, Titch was charged with the murder of Richard Holmes in Chingford. He stood trial in 2006 and was convicted.”
Managing to still release music while behind bars, Titch, who’s known for his raw and greazy sound, dropped “Voldemort” today, on his birthday, which sees him lace a rowdy drill instrumental. And from what we can hear, he’s lost none of his hunger.
