Watch John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, and More Address the Coronavirus in ‘SNL’ Cold Open

SNL returns after a two week break with host John Mulaney and musical guest David Byrne.
For tonight’s cold open, SNL parodied a White House press conference addressing the worldwide concern over the coronavirus outbreak. Beck Bennett was Mike Pence, Kenan Thompson appeared as Dr. Ben Carson, Fred Armisen returned as Mike Bloomberg, and Larry David came back as Bernie Sanders.
Mulaney played Joe Biden, replacing Jason Sudeikis. “Guess who just kicked butt in south Cracker Barrel,” Mulaney’s Biden said, referencing Biden’s victory in the South Carolina Democratic primary.
The sketch follows SNL’s spoof of the democratic primary debate in Manchester, New Hemisphere. The debate stage brought out cameos by David and Sudeikis, who were Sanders and Biden.
Bowen Yang played Andrew Yang, Kate McKinnon brought back her impression of Elizabeth Warren, and Rachel Dratch returned as Amy Klobuchar.

SNL will be back on March 7 with Daniel Craig and The Weeknd.
