Donald Glover Releases Collection of New Music
Written by SOURCE on March 15, 2020
Donald Glover has released new music—presumably his fourth studio album, but at the very least a collection of material for fans to bump—on a website title Donald Glover Presents. Though an official tracklist is not confirmed at this time, the looped stream appears to include 12 songs with features from 21 Savage, SZA, and Ariana Grande. One of the tracks included is his previously released “Feels Like Summer.”
Donald Glover has yet to share anything about the new music, though his manager Fam Udeorji and longtime contributor Ludwig Goransson did retweet a fan’s tweet with the link.
The website includes an illustration depicting, well, chaos—broken down into four panels, with the panels possibly being cover art options. Users can also type a message below the illustration, which may be Glover’s way of taking in fan-submitted titles.
The title of the website, Donald Glover Presents, is also what Glover’s creative partnership with Adidas is titled, though it’s unclear to what extent (if at all) this has to do with that partnership.
The new music comes following reports that the third season of Atlanta has been put on hold due to coronavirus outbreak concerns.
Prior to this, Glover’s (under his music alias Childish Gambino) most recent music release was “Mood 4 Eva,” a collaboration with Beyoncé and JAY-Z that appeared on the soundtrack The Lion King: The Gift. He also starred in the 2019 musical film as the voice for Simba. That same month, Glover appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and while he didn’t share a definitive stance on where he was at in terms of his music career, he did tell the host, “I love music. I really love making music.”
