2Pac’s Bandanas Are Among Memorabilia Being Auctioned Off

Written by on April 1, 2020

Outside of being a creative genius, 2Pac was also considered a fashion icon. Now fans have the opportunity to own two of the artist’s signature pieces.

A selection of ‘Pac memorabilia is up for auction by Gotta Have Rock and Roll, including two bandanas that were owned and worn by the rapper. Per Highsnobiety, the blue and red bandanas were acquired by a “very close family friend” of the rapper. They are reportedly in “very good” condition and are accompanied by a letter of provenance proving that they did in fact belong to 2Pac.

Along with helping introduce the rap world to brands like Versace, 2Pac also brought street culture trend to the mainstream. His image became synonymous with his bandanas and the way he wore them on his head. It’s precisely that cultural significance that has the auction site predicting that the pieces will sell for between to $2,000-4,000.

There are several items up for auction along with the bandanas. Multiple handwritten lyric sheets and letters, as well as the original liner notes of Tupac’s Makaveli album are also up for auction. There is also a signed picture of 2Pacc and The Outlawz up for grabs, as well as some of the rapper’s jewelry.

Back in January, a Nevada dealership claimed to be selling the BMW that 2Pac was fatally shot in. “This is the actual car that Tupac Shakur was shot while riding in after a Fight at the MGM in Las Vegas,” Celebrity Cars Las Vegas wrote in the listing. “It was driven by Suge Knight and originally leased by Death Row Records. This is the first time this car has ever been up for sale or on display since his death in 1996.”
